Within 14 days of purchase you’ll receive your document pack which contains:
A letter thanking you for choosing the Pure Cremation Pre-Paid Plan
A Plan Summary outlining exactly what is covered and a record of your payment(s)
A Record of Wishes with contact details for you and your next of kin and any special requests you may have made
A Plan Certificate with your unique plan number
A My Funeral Wishes card to carry in your purse or wallet so that everyone knows who to call when the time comes
If you change your mind within 30 days of purchase you will get a 100% refund of any payments made. Cancellation after this will result in a refund of the monies paid, minus the administration fee that applied at the time of purchase (currently £350).
Return of ashes within 21 days of the cremation is INCLUDED in our price, but please do let us know if you have planned a scattering or memorial service sooner than this.
You can specify a day and time for the return of your loved-one’s ashes, including evenings and weekends.

We are happy to arrange, if more appropriate, for a family member to collect ashes from our offices or from the cremation venue itself for no extra cost.

Your money is safe with us
The biggest funeral plan providers in the UK use Trusts to safeguard the funds needed to meet some or all of their clients' future funeral expenses. We do, too.
If you’ve opted to pay in a single lump sum or over a fixed number of instalments then your money will be placed into a secure, independently managed Trust.
When the cremation is needed the Trust requires an invoice, proof of death and 2 Trustee signatures to release funds to pay for the service you have requested.

We have two prepaid plans to suit your budget, including our Over 50s Funeral Plan for a fixed low monthly premium. You could also request a free Record of Wishes to inform your family of the style of send off you would like but without paying for a plan right now.
Your plan is 100% guaranteed to pay for your simple, unattended cremation when the time comes. Here’s how:
If you choose our Trust Plan, the money paid is placed into the independent Pure Cremation Funeral Planning Trust. This Trust guarantees to pay for your cremation when you need it. The Trust is managed by independent trustees and reviewed every year by an independent expert to ensure there are always sufficient funds available for your cremation. When last reviewed at 31 December 2020 the PCFP Trust had a very healthy surplus, holding 132% of all the money that would be needed to pay for every single plan holder’s direct cremation at once.
If you choose our Over 50s Funeral Plan, your plan is guaranteed by Scottish Friendly Assurance who are one of the largest mutual life insurance providers in the UK, with over 150 years’ experience.
If you choose to pay for a plan by instalments your payment amount will never increase. Once you have made at least 24 payments, your cremation will be provided should you die, with no further costs even if you have not completed all payments into the plan, provided your payments are up to date.
